In this chapter you will learn how to create a game ready, lowpoly mesh with efficient uv coordinates for the turretgun asset and then bake the highpoly asset to your lowpoly mesh.
First, we are going to create a lowpoly mesh based on the highpoly asset and I will teach you all the important principles and techniques to create a perfect low poly asset.
Afterwards, you will learn how to unwrap your mesh including which parts you want to keep unique and which parts you want to mirror to save on UV space.
You will learn advanced unwrapping techniques like unfold strip from loop and how to use Roadkill 3D and the LSCM algorithm to create uv coordinates fast and effortlessly.

In the end, we will bake the highpoly mesh onto your lowpoly object using Xnormal to create a flawless bake.
